HISTORY

Phillip Parmiter invented flexible harrows in 1885 and they have been manufactured ever since.  Over the years, we have acquired more technical knowledge and experience than any competing manufacturer. Since those early days, considerable development and investment in production methods, steel specifications and furnace technology has taken place.  Today the harrow components are heated in the latest automatic furnaces to control the temperature to within 1% accuracy. The exceptional quality Carbon tensile steel used for mat construction is then formed at this optimum temperature to ensure that the harrow is extremely strong in structure with a very high resistance to wear.  This makes Parmiter unique amongst harrows.
